Dale graduated from Tioga High School in Tioga Louisiana, Class of 1970, and joined the Marines shortly after graduation. After Boot Camp he was sent to Viet Nam and was stationed in Bien Hoa. His duty there was as an avionics electronics technician. While there he was a stage hand for Bob Hope when he entertained the troops.

After his stint in the Marines, Dale attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana and became a licensed mortician in the State of Louisiana. While going to school he co-owned a paint contracting company with his brother, Larry.

Throughout his life, Dale wore many hats. Not only was he a mortician and painter, he owned several lucrative businesses, such as MARBLELIFE of Dallas. He was also a commercial airline pilot, a cook and caterer of Cajun foods, and was on the Board of Directors of the Fannin County Children's Center. At the time of his passing he was owner of Pampered Paws Dog Hotel and Spa in Dodd City, Tx. Dale loved dogs and once said that he was so fortunate to be friends of all his client's friends, their dogs.

Dale was kind, gentle, generous, and very intelligent. He loved his family and friends with all his heart and all loved him dearly.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Noland Bordelon, mother, Margaret Richard Bordelon Norris, brothers, Gary and Larry Bordelon, and his beloved son, Gaston Nicholas Bordelon.

Dale is survived by his beloved children, Dakota Beaver, Savannah Bordelon and their mother, Virginia Beaver, sisters, Denise Wood and husband Stephen, Melonie Nelson and her husband Mark, his step-father Henry Norris, eight step brothers and sisters, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, as well as a great, great nephew, and many friends, all of whom loved him dearly.

Many thanks to all who cared for Dale and were by his side during his fight with cancer. Dakota, Savannah, Virginia, Stephanie, Beth, Matt, Robert, and Sissy were honored to assist him with much love, encouragement and devotion.
