James Ray Emery, 88 of Springdale passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born February 12, 1935 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to James T. Emery and Maryland Mae Casey Emery.

James served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Abundant Life Church of God. He worked for Allen Canning Company and Triple T Foods in Springdale. He enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Velma Lee Emery; four sisters, Evelyn June Emery, Betty Jo Emery, Marybelle Wilson, Sharon Griffith and two granddaughters, Alisha Anne Emery and Lydia Jean Wolfe.

Survivors include one son Curtis Ray Emery and wife Wendy of Springdale; one daughter Martha Jean Wolfe and husband Benny of Springdale; one brother, Bobby Emery and wife Lin of Springdale; two sisters, Patsy Martin of Springdale and Glenda Wright of Springdale; four granddaughters, Traci, July, Brittani and Kristi; five great grandchildren, Parker, Daxson, Emmi, Roman and Elyse.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel with Rev. J.D. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Zach Misenhimer, Colby Rhodes, Aaron Stevens, Chas Stevens, Tony Wilson, Quang Emery and Devin Zimmerman. Honorary pallbearers will be Cyril Griffith, and Jason Hendrix.
