Topeka State Journal Tuesday 24 April, 1973,pg. 11:

OVERBROOK - Military graveside services will be Wednesday at Overbrook Cemetery for Jessie Blaine Huff, 55, Rte. 1, Carbondale, who died Friday at his home a mile north of Carbondale. He apparently had a heart attack.

He was born May 12, 1917 in Oklahoma and lived at Stigler, Okla. before he moved to the Carbondale community in July of 1970. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 747th Military Police Battalion in the Army.

Survivors include 2 sons, Roger Huff, Overbrook, and Paul Huff, Chickasha, Okla.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Janice Rangel and Mrs. Mary Taylor, both of Topeka; 2 brothers, George Huff, Albuquerque, NM and Floyd Huff, California; a sister, Mrs. Margie Bailey, Muskogee, Okla.; and 6 grandchildren.

Anderson-Raible Post No. 239 of the American Legion at Overbrook will conduct graveside services. The casket will remain closed. Albright-Roberts Funeral Home at Overbrook is in charge of arrangements.
