She was born Aug. 24, 1939, in Lima, the daughter of Arthur & Nellie (Brincefield) Binkley, who preceded her in death.
On Aug. 10, 1958, she married Paul A. Wilges, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2013.
Survivors include, 2 children, Kevin Wilges, Wapakoneta, Karen M. (Bill) Jacobs, Wapakoneta; a grandson, Brandon (Paige) Schreiber; 2 step-grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Butterfield, Bill (Katie) Jacobs; a step-great grandchild, Teagan Butterfield.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Dekok; 3 half-sisters, Louella "Susie" Howley, Mary Sprague, and Marjorie Moorman; and 5 half-brothers, Hebert Fry, Louis R. Fry, William Fry, Charles Fry, and Lloyd Binkley.
A homemaker, Marilyn had previously worked for the Excello Corp., Henkener-Miller Law Offices, and Pantry Pride.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta and a graduate of Shawnee High School.
Marilyn enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, traveling to Las Vegas, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tues. Nov. 21, 2023, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, Wapakoneta. Burial will follow in the Buckland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Mon. and for 1 hr. prior to the service on Tues. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
