Jay H. Stauffer, 92, of Lanc., entered eternal rest Nov. 15, 2023. Born in Lanc. He was the son of the late Melvin S. Stauffer and Anna Mary Bredthauer. Last week he celebrated his 71st wedding anniversary with Miriam (Eshelman) Stauffer. He was a lifetime Manor Twp. beef and potato farmer.

He will be remembered as a creative and artistic person with decorative flowers and paintings and was a past president of the Lancaster Arts Association.

Jay is survived by his wife Miriam; sons, Jay D. Stauffer (Trena) of Columbia and James D. Stauffer (Jalana) of Lanc., 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and sisters, Mary Ella Witmer, Hettie Jean Eckert, Martha Ann Garner, Nancy Petka, and Carolyn Kurl. He was preceded in passing by his brothers, Melvin, and Allen Stauffer.

A Memorial Service honoring Jay will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA. Interment will be private at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
