Opal Elizabeth Harvey (Sapaugh), 93, passed away November 14, 2023 at her residence in Festus, Missouri.

Opal was born on March 26, 1930 in Salem, Missouri daughter of the late Harald Sapaugh and Maxine Sapaugh-Beard (Conway).

Opal worked as a Draftsman for Indiana Michigan Electrtic Company for 39 years. In her free time, she could be found serving others at the food pantry, helping families with their meals, cooking, sewing, gardening, being a devoted friend, and spending time with her family.

Opal is survived by her brother, Larry (Beverly) Sapaugh, niece, Tiffany (Steven) Charleville, great nephew, Steven Charleville Jr., nieces, Marissa (Matthew) Schappe, and Olivia Charleville, along with beloved family members and many friends.

Along with her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Sapaugh and Herchel (Willene) Sapaugh.

Services will be held at Mahn Funeral Home, Festus, Missouri, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 9:00 am with Deacon Tim Dunn officiating. Interment will take place in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem, Missouri at 12:30 pm.

Family and friends will be received at Mahn Funeral Home, Festus, Missouri, Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be donated to the organization of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home, Festus, Missouri.
