Barbara "Bonnie" Jean Stone, age 79 passed away 5 November 2023, 10:25 p.m. at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township, Michigan. Bonnie was born 28 April 1944 in a log house where Fawn Lake is now to Joseph John Durocher Stone & Lida/Lyda Lillian (Tester) Stone in West Branch, Ogemaw County, Michigan. Bonnie had attended School but never graduated. She received her High School Diploma from Bendle High School 6 June 1981 in Burton, Michigan. She had also taken courses to become a Lawyer. Bonnie enjoyed loving, caring, looking after people; it was her favorite thing to do. Bonnie married Frank E. Whipple Sr. in February 1964, they had four children Cheryl A. Whipple of Climax, Michigan and Frank E. Whipple Jr. of Florida and Melissa Jean (Whipple) Edwards (Robert Beemus) of Pontiac, Michigan & Joseph John Whipple of Twining, Michigan. Bonnie married Charles E. Robinson, Stepmom to Mary M. (Hazel) Cottrell (James Cottrell) and Dawn L. (Robinson) Pugh (Jerry Pugh) of Burton, Michigan & Charles "Slugger/Chuck" C. Robinson (Tina) of Burton, Michigan. Bonnie loved beading and taking care of her family she also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, puzzles, card games, board games making her mother's homemade cinnamon rolls, she loved watching the leaves change colors and long walks. She loved the country and always wanted to go back. She was the loving Grandmother of Nichole A. Whipple of South Carolina and Joseph Hazel-Cottrell of Mt. Morris, Michigan and Jennifer Hazel-Cottrell of Portage, Michigan and Zachary Harris of Michigan and Christina L. (Edwards) Fyvie of Saginaw, Michigan and Ashlie L. Leslie of Michigan and Cody A. Edwards (Caregiver) of Clinton Township, Michigan & Mark D. Leslie of Michigan. She was a loving Aunt, Sister, Cousin, Niece, Daughter, Friend. Her Bestest friend was Charli of Midland, Michigan & a dear friend John K. of Macomb County, Michigan. She was the loving Great Grandmother of Alexis Jordan of South Carolina and Andrew Jordan of South Carolina and Kaiden, Ryder, Colten of Climax, Michigan and Farah J. Fyvie & Ava-Ann M. Fyvie of Saginaw, Michigan & Mary L. Owens of Portage, Michigan. She was preceded in death by parents Joseph & Lida/Lyda (Tester) Stone and grandparents William & Emma (Button) Tester and Francis & Justine (Piche) Durocher and siblings Elizabeth Stone, Frank Stone, Priscilla (Stone) Walker, Joseph Stone, Alexander Stone, Florence (Stone) Trout, Milvina Stone, Howard Stone, Robert Stone, Eva (Stone) Rice.
She grew up on 80 acres of land in Ogemaw County, Michigan. She loved talking of the old times and of the good times they had on the farm. She is in heaven back at the farmhouse with Ma & Dad & may she forever rest in peace. Amen.
