Gladys Britt, 93, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home.
Mrs. Britt was born May 4, 1914, at home in Erath County to O.E. and Ira Bramblett. She was a longtime Azle resident and a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church for 60 years.
Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Burnett and Hatcher Godfrey; son-in-law, Earl Hall; stepsons, Robert Godfrey and Roger Britt and wife, Kathy; sisters, Thelma Robertson and Juanita Morris; brother, Elvis Bramblett; and great-granddaughters, Zoe Gallagher, Destiny Judge and Lauren Castanza.
Survivors: Husband, O.C. Britt; sons, Cecil Burnett of Utah and Mark Burnett of Weatherford; daughters, Annette Harris of Fort Worth, Nell Judge and husband, Mike of Azle and Sherry Chamberlain of Azle; stepdaughter, Lucille Hall of Sanctuary; stepsons, Weldon Britt and wife, Brenda of Richland Hills, Jack Godfrey and wife, Dorothy of Lewisville, Jimmy Godfrey and wife, Sally of New York and Hatcher Godfrey Jr. and wife, Peggy of Hurst; brothers, Vernon Bramblett of Stephenville and Bill Bramblett of Bridge City; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
