Humboldt, TN - Services for Mrs. Etta Whitmore, 86, will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 10. 2008 from the Chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in Medina with Rev. Jackie Wilkerson and Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Whitmore died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Huntingdon Health-Rehabilitation after a long illness.

She was born in Madison County, the daughter of the late Jesse Helton and Stella Marsh Helton. She was educated in the Madison County schools. Mrs. Whitmore was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Humboldt. She was retired after thirty-one years of service with Emerson Electric.

Survivors include one sister, Ruby Tharp of Humboldt; five nieces, Doris Denton, Margaret Hopkins, Ann Smith and Linda Johnson all of Humboldt and Jean Metzinger of Gibson; three nephews, Bobby Branch of Humboldt, Donnie Branch of Greenfield and David Branch of Bradford; several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruthie Turner and two nephews, Freddie Branch and O'Neal King.
