A celebration of life for JoAnne Barger will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday Dec.13, at Langlois Community Church. The Rev. Rick House will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church Saturday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
JoAnne was born Aug.14,1933, to Ernest Allen and Eleanor Ruth (Gundy)Schwartz, in Bement, Ill. She died Dec.8,2004 in Langlois.(Oregon)
JoAnne loved her childhood sweetheart and husband of 30 years, Billy Barger. She lived for and loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She treasured all of her family and friends and had touched may people around the world. She loved cooking, flowers, birds (especially hummingbirds)sewing and painting. JoAnne worked for the Coquille Police Department, Curry County Sheriff's office, Bandon Police Department and Coos County Sheriffs Office.
She is survived by Billy Barger Jr. (third husband, no children ) of Langlois. Children and spouses, Angelique and Jack Stokes of Coos Bay, Therese and Keenan Failing of Walla Walla, Wash., Mike and Lisa Haga of Phoenix, Az . , Kevin Haga of Langlois; grandchildren Joshua and Jeremiah Stokes, Hillary and Heather Haga ,Daniel, Jamie and Michael Haga, Marshall, Kooper and Maxwell Failing, great grandchildren Treyton Stokes, Kash Stokes and Ella Kay Stokes; mother Ruth Hilterbrand, sisters and their husbands, Lenna and Jerry Blacker, Jacquii and Mark Beecher and brother and his wife Allen and Linda Schwartz. Step children ,Mary Lou Barger-Pulitini of Las Vegas,,and Fred and Rosalie Barger of Las Vegas: step grand children ;Billy Jo and Mandy (children of Mary Lou) Billy John Barger (child of Patty Barger) Lisa ,Leslie and Lester Barger
She was preceded in death by her father Ernie Allen .
