Frances Edmonia was the first born child to Edmond B. and Dora Belle Jones-Keene. On April 1, 1921 she married Ray Stone. They had four children: Ruby Maxine, Kenneth Duane, Lois Colleen, and Merrill Emil Stone. In 1934 Frances married Cecil Acton and they had one child, Cecilia Ann Acton.

She was employed with the University of Missouri Medical Center until her retirement in 1963. Since that time she has been employed at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge.

Frances was a member of the Oakland Christian Church.

"Mrs. Cecil Acton, 72, Route 4, died at 6:30 a.m. today at Boone County Hospital after an illness of several months.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home, Friends may call at the funeral home after noon tomorrow until time for services.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be sent to the Cancer Research Center.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. William Tanner of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Milton Acton of Route 4 and Mrs. Larry Benton of 2606 Aster Court; two sons, Duane Stone of Sarasota, Fla., and Emil Stone of Pennfield, Pa.; four brothers, Eldon Keene and Edmond Keene, both of Route 9. J.R. Keene, 5816 Brown Station Road, and Woodrow Keene of Ellis Prairie, Mo; a sister, Margaret Nienaber of Rainbow Village Trailer Court; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Acton was born March 6, 1901, in Boone County, the daughter of Edmond and Dora (Jones) Keene. She was married to Cecil Acton in 1934. She was employed with the University of Missouri-Columbia Medical Center until her retirement in 1963. Since that time she has been en employee of Howard Johnson Motor Lodge.
Mrs. Acton was a member of Oakland Christian Church."
