Michael Boyd "Mike" Badley, longtime resident of Coweta, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 27, 1945. After a lengthy battle with cancer, at the age of 78, Mike passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Mike graduated from Coweta High School class of '63 before furthering his studies at Okmulgee Tech. He was the proud owner and operator of the B.S. Motors auto dealership in Coweta. He also operated Badley Wrecker Service for 10 years. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike had a passionate love for automobiles that extended into his leisure pursuits as well. He was a familiar figure on racing tracks, where he indulged his love for speed and innovation through drag racing and IMCA Modified Cars.

In terms of family, Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Sue Badley, their five children: Jeff Badley (Susan), Stephen Badley (Vernessa), Rodney Badley (Tommie), James Lindsey (Kristi), and Kathy Elmore (Tommy), his sister, Kaye McCoy, and his brother Arlis "Red" Badley (Amanda). He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Chris, Billy, Danny, Grace, Savannah, TJ, Jaymi, Emma and Will, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlis Badley and Leona (Boyd) Badley, and his brother, Tim Badley.

Mike Badley's footprints on earth may be gone, but his racing spirit and the countless memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
