Maymie "Louise" Maynard, 90 of Baxter TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 surrounded by loved ones at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born August 23, 1933 in Baxter to the late William Harris, Sr and the late Norma Montgomery Harris.
She was one of ten children and was a proud 1952 graduate of Baxter Seminary. A long-standing member of Friendship Church, Louise was joyful and committed to her faith.
She leaves behind 3 sons: Donald Harris of Baxter, Joe (Lisa) Harris of Denver CO, Kevin Maynard of Silver Point; a daughter: Ronda (Casey) Sullivan of KY; grandchildren: Jared Harris, Andrew Harris, Austin Harris, Cash Ribordy, Travis (Jenny) Minor, Abbie (Mike) Minor, Brandon (Margaux) Maynard, Stacy Maynard, Haley (Dexter) Wright, and Elijah Maynard. 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Mildred Wine, Jim Harris (Betty), Janell Casson, Leroy Harris, Howard Harris (Colleen), and Pat Harris-Uhl (Chris).
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by son: Gary Lee Maynard; brothers: William Harris Jr and Otis Harris; and sister: Peggy Youmans.
A graveside service was held Monday, November 13th at Smellage Cemetery with the Pastor Nathan Heady officiating.
