Cara was raised in Hearne, Texas by her parents Sam and Debra Corpora.

Cara had a wonderful childhood full of excitement and adventure in the woods around her home. Cara was exceptional and excelled at just about everything she put her mind to. She was a talented and competitive gymnast, and she loved softball and played for the Lady Rams on their first team to compete in the state softball championship.

Cara attended Allen Academy from grades preschool to 12, and it was also from there she graduated high school with a close-knit cohort of friends in 2001. Cara attained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southwest Texas State University in 2005. Given that the university underwent many name changes, her graduating class had the option of listing the alternate name of "Texas State University" on the diploma, but Cara opted for the former because she wanted her diploma to match her dad's. She later continued her education and obtained a paralegal certification.

Cara was admired by her colleagues for her work ethic and tenacity while working in banks and accounting offices located in the Austin area. Although her professional career was cut short by a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2015, she maintained her jovial and optimistic attitude, strength, and passion for life. In 2017, Cara moved to College Station to be closer to family.

Cara was very family-oriented had a special and close relationship with her mom, dad, her older brother Matt, and her cousin Genie. She enjoyed great times vacationing with family and friends at her family's home in Rockport Texas. While Cara loved all kinds of music, she and her dad shared a special bond around their affinity for the American country singer-songwriter, Merle Haggard, attending countless concerts together.

Cara was preceded in death by her father, Sam Corpora. And by her grandparents, Sonny and Florence Debruhl, Eddie Boswell, and Joe and Sara Corpora.

She leaves behind her mother Debra Corpora and her brother Matt Corpora. Her aunts and uncles Ed and Laura Boswell, Audette Foyt, Priscilla and John Maltabes, and Joe Corpora; Cousins Tray and Jason Boswell, Genie Humphries, Joseph Foyt, Anna Grace Langston, Oaklen Boswell, Madison Boswell, Carter Humphries, Preston Foyt, and her namesake, Elizabeth Humphries. Loved ones Rick and Sean Britton. And her beloved dog, Arlo.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 11, at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne followed by short service.

Memorials in her name, may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
