Robert Millar Billmire 65 North Western railroad machinist for 48 years until his retirement two years ago died at 6:30 on Saturday at his home at 2300 Avenue A. He had been ailing for two years.
He was born Aug 4 1877 at Baltimore Md and had been a resident of Council Bluffs for 35 years. He was a member of the International order of Machinists, Woodmen of the World, Excelsior lodge No 259 of the AA, the first Christian church and the Scottish Rite at Omaha.
He is survived by his widow Catherine two sons Wilson Billmire of Council Bluffs and Ernest Kolb of Chicago three daughters Mrs Carlin Smith of Seirra Madre Calif Mrs Evans and Mrs O'brien of Chicago two sisters Mrs Ballou and Mrs Fitz of Boone two brothers John Billmire of Carroll and Harry Billmire of Chicago and five grandchildren. The body is at the Cutler mortuary.
