Frank Warner Kemp was the youngest son of Newton M. Kemp and Ella Warner. His siblings were: Arthur, Ivan, Leslie, Edna(my grandmother), Warren, Earl, John, and Grace. He was born in Jefferson, Montgomery, Ohio on the family farm on Union Road. When he was 17 years old,(September 1926) Frank journeyed up to the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. Years earlier, his father had bought land and his brothers took turns developing it and farming on it. That year, Frank went up to help his brother, Leslie, on the farm. He returned to Ohio and on March 17, 1928, he married Thelma Evaline Dillon. They went on to have 3 children: Doris, Jan Lewis and Norman. Frank worked as a U.S. mail carrier and lived in New Lebanon and later, in Eaton, Ohio. My mother, Dorothea Derringer Nelson was his niece. We used to visit them in Ohio and they would come up to Ontario to visit us , often with their granddaughter, Angie. I have lots of good memories of times spent with them. I especially remember going to Woody's restaurant, that was built over a busy road. My brother and sister and I, being young, thought this was the coolest thing! I also remember going to the Malls around Dayton and also seeing other sights around there with them.I have lots of fond memories of Uncle Frank and remember him to be a kind, gentle man.
