Larry Roscoe Andrews, 76, of Halfway, Missouri, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, on November 4, 2023. Larry was born on September 17, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Elgene and Lorene Andrews. Larry attended Halfway High School, and soon after enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he was a Fire Protection Specialist. Following his service, Larry worked as a carpet layer, a pressman at the Bolivar Herald Free-Press, and at the Solo Cup factory. He enjoyed racing of all kinds, watching NASCAR and driving stock cars. Larry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 8:25 p.m., while in the hospital.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Elgene and Lorene (Goldsberry) Andrews; older brother, Derrell Andrews; and younger brother, Frank Andrews.
He is survived by his soulmate, Margie Gibson; his younger brother, Bruce Andrews; and wife, Patty; his sister, Joy Matthews.
