Her father was William "Willie" Henry (aka W. Charles/W.H.A) Ayers Jr. 1895–1970

ROCHA, Marguerite Ayers, 98, of Tampa, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Manuel Rocha, her parents; William Henry Ayers and Bessie Dye Ayers; sisters, Loyce V. Ayers and Martha Fuentes, and half-brother Donald Ayers.

She is survived by her children; Ronald Rocha and Peggy Ann Rocha Snuggs (Michael), grandchildren; Corey Snuggs (Jessica), Ashley Snuggs, Lance Walton, Christopher Jesberger and Michael Jesberger, half-brothers; Steven Ayers and William D. Ayers, many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Marguerite was born in Ashland, Al in 1920 and moved to Rome, Ga before settling in Tampa. In 1940, she married the love of her life and junior high school sweetheart Manuel Rocha. They were married for 73 years - a relationship spanning a total of 78 years.

Marguerite was a mother and homemaker until her children were grown. She then worked in sales at Sears,Tampa and Host International,Tampa Airport until retirement. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed traveling extensively with family and friends. Marguerite lived a full life of faith, love, integrity, perseverance, and strength that influenced the lives of family and all who knew her. Her treasured legacy will live on for generations to come.

The family will receive friends for Visitation Tuesday, March 19, 2019 between 1 and 2 PM at Blount & Curry at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa. Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by Interment at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
