Harold Harney, 81, passed away on Monday October 23, 2006 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND
Harold Harvey Harney was born in Grand Forks, ND on June 13, 1925 the son of Earl and Vivian (Propp) Harney. Harold grew up in East Grand Forks, MN, and graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School. In June of 1943 Harold joined the United States Navy serving his country for 3 years. He worked construction and worked many years for Lystads of Grand Forks. He also worked at the East Grand Forks Federal Savings and Loan, which his mother Vivian Harney started. On March 4, 1950 Harold was united in marriage to Marjorie Montgomery. He owned and operated Harney Real Estate.
Family members of Harold include one brother; Donald (Connie) of Grand Forks, ND, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great nephews and 1 great great niece. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, 1 sister Dorothy Boe in 1981 and 1 brother Raymond Harney in 1944.
