Barbara A. Brearton, age 85, of 60 Church Street, Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at her home.

Born in Massena, New York on October 25, 1938, she was the daughter of James and Luella (Brown) Brearton.

Barbara graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1956 and later attended and graduated from Albany Business College where she was crowned Sweetheart of Phi Theta Pi Fraternity. Barbara worked for American Airlines for over 35 years as a Customer Service Representative in New York City and Dallas / Fort Worth Texas. She moved back to Saranac Lake in 1995 and was a member of Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Bernard, St. Bernard's 787 and a volunteer for over 20 years at the Adirondack Medical Center. She enjoyed reading, writing and exercising.

She is survived by one brother of Bonita Springs, FL, one nephew and his wife of Elizabethtown, one grandnephew of Lake Placid and two grandnieces.

Burial in the Town of North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
