On November 2, 2023, the world lost a woman of inspiring spirit, Virginia L. Adams. Born on May 31, 1941, in Corning, NY, Virginia was a woman of immense character—funny, reliable, and thoughtful. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met, with her infectious laughter and her zest for life. Virginia spent her life in Beaver Dams, NY, where she filled her home with love, laughter, and the aroma of delicious food. A devoted homemaker, she was the backbone of her family, her steady presence providing comfort and stability throughout the years.

Virginia was a woman of faith, often volunteering at dinners at her local church. As we mourn her passing, we are comforted by the words from the Book of Matthew, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Virginia was a passionate woman; her love for country music, NASCAR, football, and baseball were only surpassed by her love for her family. Her evenings spent at the American Legion in Big Flats were full of camaraderie and laughter. She found great joy in her grandchildren, Shawn and Sarah, and her great-granddaughter, Adriana. Her most precious companion was her beloved cat, Cheese Ball, who was always by her side.

Virginia leaves behind cherished memories with her loving daughter, Rebecca (Michael Nichols), her grandchildren, Shawn Neff and Sarah (Andrew) Leishman, and her great-granddaughter, Adriana Neff. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis (Vaughn) Shepherd, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Helen Brace; her loving husband, Robert "Bubba" Adams; and her daughter, Shirleen Adams.

A graveside service for Virginia will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery on Hendy Hollow Road in Caton, NY.
