Mrs. Bonnie Jean Whistler Adams, 91 of Chambersburg, died Monday, October 31, 2023, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg. She was the wife of the late George Dean Adams, who died suddenly on December 6, 1998, days short of the couple's 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Born, November 26, 1931, in Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Gwyneth Bates Whistler.

Bonnie was Protestant by faith.

She was a very artistic individual that very much enjoyed crafty projects. Additionally, she enjoyed reading; birdwatching; collecting antiques, teddy bears and bookplates; and the company of her Sottish Terriers she had as companions over many years.

Surviving are Bonnie's six children, Patricia K. Adams of Chambersburg, Barbara Adams Hebard and Christopher of Melrose, Massachusetts, Debra Jane Fanaras and husband Nicholas of Salisbury, Massachusetts, George Dean and Samuel Edward Adams, both of Chambersburg, and Rebecca Ann Rinard of Stephen City; her grandchildren Nicholas G. and Rachel Beth Fanaras, Emily Kate Fanaras-Chan, Chrisitan Andrew Fanaras, and Seth Bradford and Calvin Gregory Rinard; by her great grandchildren Layla & Illius, and Clara & Claudia; as well as her brother, Donald Whistler and wife Mary of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Gregory Bradford Rinard; and by siblings Col Harold Whitler, Shirley Whistler, and Roger Slater.

Sellers Funeral Home & Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. A service will be held graveside, Wednesday, November 8, 1:00 PM with Rev. David Ford officiating. Signs will be noticeable upon entering the cemetery's main gates guiding family and friends to the service location.
