Jorgen Christian "John" Bork was the son of Soren Kristian Neilsen "Chris" Bork and Margarete Claudine Brillo. He was born on March 18, 1910 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. He passed away on February 3, 1982 in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
He married Mary Talitha Morrison on January 27, 1934 in Clay County, Missouri.

John C. Bork, 71, Atherton Road and Courtney Road, Independence, died Wednesday at the Independence Sanitarium. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Bork was a pipe fitter and a member of Local No 533 of the Pipe Fitters Union before he retired. He was a merchant marine veteran of World War II and a Lutheran. He leaves a son, H. Chris Bork of the home; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Stockbauer, Downey, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mount Moriah Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
