Maud Viola Sproat died at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 1902 at the home of her uncle IW Gallagher on Cline Avenue. Maud was 17 years old and the cause of death was spinal meningitis, which she had been ill a short time. She was an orphan. Her mother died in 1890 and her father died in 1894. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:00 pm at her late home, conducted by Rev. Dr. H.L. Wiles of the First Lutheran church. Interment was made at the Marlow Cemetery.
