Mrs. Grace Truman White Davis, age 95, of Houlka, died Friday, Mar 10 1989 at Union County General Hospital in New Albany. Funeral services were held Sunday, Mar 12 at Houlka Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hassell Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Rutledge officiating.
The daughter of the late Sam White and the late Mary Virginia De Lashment, she was a lifelong resident of Chickasaw County. She was the widow of the late Clarence Davis and was a member of Gershorm Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Alva Sweeney of Portage, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Elsie Wallace of Pinedale, mrs. Marie Gambel of Memphis, Tennessee and Mrs. Kitty Holliday of Houlka; one son, William R. "Bill" Davis of Houlka; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Vick Holliday, Steve Holliday, Richard Holliday, Carlton Wallace, Tommy Wallace and David Holliday.
Houlka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
