From Schaetter Funeral Home:

Hope Elizabeth Stehling of Johnson City, TX went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 31st at the age of 55 years. She was surrounded by her husband of 32 years, and her son and daughter.

Hope was born November 1st, 1967 in Johnson City, TX to Raymond and Maxie Ribera. She was their first daughter and was named "Esperanza" because they were hoping for a girl.

Hope married Randy Stephen Stehling on January 5th, 1991 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Harper, TX. They had two children together, Zane Raymond Stehling and Haley Elizabeth Stehling.

Zane married Michelle Duerr. They blessed her with 3 grandchildren- Elijah, Jonah and Zellie. Her nicknames for them were precious, sweethearts and princessa.

Hope earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communications Design from Texas State University in 2000. She had a passion for her career and lit up when she talked about her work. She worked at TMF Health Quality Institute for 23 years as a Web Designer.

She stayed busy, was always finding ways to be productive, and to go above and beyond to take care of her family. She used her creativity and technical expertise in various ways. She enjoyed designing wedding invitations for her nieces, and helping family with business cards or websites.

Hope loved gardening and carrying on the tradition from her mother-in-law Rose Mae Stehling of canning pickles, jalapeños and salsa to share with family and friends.

Above all, she had the most generous heart, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings in her home. She was the rock to the family.
