Francis Bernard "Frank" Kloeppel, age 90, of Brinktown, was born February 26, 1933, in Maries County, Missouri, a son of Henry Christian Kloeppel and Caroline Theresa "Lena" (Winkelmann) Kloeppel, and passed from this life Thursday, October 26, 2023, in St. James Living Center, St. James. Frank was a 1953 graduate of Vienna High School and entered active federal service in the United States Navy on July 1, 1953, at St. Louis and served until June 21, 1957, when he was honorably discharged at Washington D.C., at the rank of Constructionman (CN). A man of excellent character, Frank's "Honorable Discharge" is a testimony of selfless and faithful service to his country. He was married May 14, 1982, in Brinktown, to Elvera Mae (Tornquist) Fancher, who preceded him death on January 7, 2012. Frank was baptized early in life and was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown. He continued his career with the Missouri State Highway Department, Vienna, in maintenance. He was a 4th Degree Member Knights of Columbus, Westphalia, the Argyle Knights of Columbus Council 2047, the Lischwe-Brandel American Legion Post 354, Brinktown, the Vienna-Bassett Eagles Club, Vienna, and the Dixon-Brinktown Fire Department. Frank enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.

Those left to mourn the passing of Frank include: His brother, Ralph Kloeppel and wife, Carolyn, of Brinktown; nephews, nieces, and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, Elvera, Frank was preceded in death by his father, Henrey on May 11, 1977; his mother, Caroline "Lena" on September 27, 1991; and his siblings, Lawrence Kloeppel on February 5, 2001, Raymond Kloeppel on October 14, 2006, Loretta Buck on February 26, 2015, and Sister Mary Agnes Kloeppel (Franciscan Order) on August 26, 2016. Visitation for Mr. Frank Kloeppel will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., October 30, 2023, in Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 37487 Highway N, Brinktown, MO 65443, with his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Basil Tigga as celebrant and Deacon Michael Brooks assisting, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Interment with full military honors will be in the Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown.
