Matilda I. Yager, 89, R.R.1, Rushville, Ind., died at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 1988, inn the Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville, Ind.
She was born April 14, 1899, in Ripley County, Ind., the daughter of Michael and Eva McNew Kieffer. She married Fred Yager April 20, 1921, and he preceded her in death in 1970. She was a member of the St. Marys Catholic Church in Rushville, Ind.
She is survived by five sons, Aaron Yager, Ft. Meyers, Fla., Raymond and Francis Yager, both of R.R.2, Rushville, Ind., Henry Yager, Clarksburg, Ind., and Alfred Yager, R.R.1, Rushville, Ind.; three daughters, Alice Nobbe, Batesville, Ind., and Alberta Neuman, R.R.1, Rushville, Ind., and Ester Nieman, R.R.5, Greensburg; one sister, Charlotte Eckstein; 47 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rushville, Ind., with the Rev. Don Mahan officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Magdelen Cemetery in North Madison, Ind.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, Ind.
