Mr. Denson passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. He was born on Sept. 29, 1918 to Preston Denson and Julia Etta Yeager Denson in Leoma, Tenn. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Air Force, worked at Ford Motor Company for 25 years, and then owned Denson Auto Electric for 25 years. He taught at the Cullman Vocational School and was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Bob Sapp Sunday School Class.He is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and one grandson, Joseph Denson.Survivors include his wife of 70 years two days, Elizabeth Calloway Denson; two daughters, Beverly (John) Harlan and Ann (Bobby) Edwards; one son, Preston Denson; one brother, Irvin Denson; five grandchildren, Wes (Amy) Harlan, Lori (Jerry) Woolfolk, Angelynn (Bryan) Tinsley, Brandon Edwards and Robert Denson; several great-grandchildren, and numerous other friends and church friends.
