Born March 2, 1934, in Turner County, he was the son of the late Morris Andrew Hobby and Lillie McGlamry Hobby.
Mr. Hobby was a Korean War Army veteran and was a retired route supervisor with Pet Milk Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Plymel Hobby of Moultrie; two sons, Frank Hobby and wife Tammy of Moultrie and Chris Hobby and wife Penny of Doerun; three daughters, Ginger H. Jardon and husband Pat of Baldwin, Kan., Karen H. Pinero of Moultrie and Lisa H. Conner and husband Al of Moultrie; a brother, Elmer Hobby of Savannah; three sisters, Janet Cooper and Louise Cox, both of Albany, and Sarah Parker of Columbus; two grandchildren, Michael Jardon and Shelby Pinero.
