John Otis Berg was the fourth and last child of Charles Berg and Cindarilla BUTCHER Berg, both probably buried in Oklahoma Territory around Payne County (where the land rush was) in Jennings Cemetery.

John was the husband of my great-aunt, Jeff SIMMONS Berg, who was the daughter of Jefferson Simmons, Jr. and Rebecca LAUNIUS Simmons.

He was the father to one son, Charles, who was named for his grandfather, and one daughter, Lula Mae.

John served his country in the military and was a veteran of World War I.

He was survived by his wife, children, and many friends and family. He is much loved and missed by all.

(The couple in the picture is of John and his wife, Jeff. (my great-aunt).

(The next picture is of John's family. His wife, Jeff, is seated on the left next to their daughter, Lula Mae. Their son, Charles, is pictured standing in back.)

John Otis Berg was born Nov. 10, 1891, and departed this life Aug 3, 1938. On November 2, 1926 he was married to Jeffie Simmons at Cushing, Oklahoma. To this union two children were born, Charles and Lula Mae. He leaves to morn his departure his wife, Jeffie, two children, Charles and Lula Mae, two brothers, Walter and Orvell, of Yale, two sisters, Mrs. Lula Bowdon, of Rockville, Missouri and Mrs. Ida Grimes of Yale and other relatives and a host of friends.

He was baptized into Christ in 1909. He was a faithful husband and father.
