Henrietta was born in Salisbury, MD, a graduate of Wicomico High School class of 1954 and attended Salisbury State Teachers College. She had a distinguished federal government career with the United States Air Force recruiting office in Easton, MD.
She married James Edward Price on July 25, 1975. James and Henrietta owned and ran Delmarva Jewelry store for over three decades in Easton, MD. Henrietta was recognized by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for her work in providing detailed records and information collected over two decades in regards to striped bass feeding habits in the Chesapeake Bay region. For that important work, she received "Conservationist of the Year Award" in 2012 from the Coastal Conservation Association.
A kind, faithful wife, mother, and grandmother, she resided just outside of Oxford, MD for over 35 years.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald S. Fields (Brenda) and Brenton A. Fields (Kathleen); daughter, Lorraine E. McCool (Robert); six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2016 and granddaughter Sara in 2016.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023.at 1pm. in Belmont Cemetery, Blades Road in Preston, MD 21655.
