Services for Edgar K. Epland, 66, of 1111 Liberty Ave., will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity American Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories. He died at St. Francis Hospital Monday night. He was born June 30, 1915, at Adams, Minn., son of Martin and Christine Gurvin Epland. He married Norma Tarbert. She died in 1973. He married Ruby Strahlendorf Nov. 15, 1975, at Dubuque. He worked at Rath Packing Co. until his retirement in 1973. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Bernie of Minneapolis and Harlen of Dubuque; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Weast of Gardena, Calif., and Mrs. Sadie Adams of 2400 Lafayette St.
The family will receive friends at Locke Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the church's organ fund or the American Heart Association.
