A native of Shelby, North Carolina, daughter of the late Osborne Clemmie and Irene Self Dixon, she retired as a teacher after 40 years from Greenville County School District, she loved caring for and teaching children. Peggy loved time at Hilton Head with her family, and her church, Taylors First Baptist Church where she mentored in Mom-to-Mom Ministry.
Surviving are her husband, Don Brown of the home; two sons, Nick Brown (Ashley) and Tyler Brown (Jerelle) all of Greer, South Carolina; one sister, Nancy Coley (Doug) of Greensboro, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Camille Brown and Jack Brown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Taylors First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley. Burial will follow in Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the church.
