He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Daughter, Sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Sister-in-Law.
He is preceded in death by his mother Bessie Lee Boyd, father Etcyel Burell Boyd, sister, Mary June Jebeles, and bothers Derwood "Mildred" Boyd and Burell Boyd.
Jim Boyd served as Cullman County Schools Superintendent for 20 years and devoted his life to education and the children of Cullman County. Mr. Boyd was a lifelong farmer, and a man of the soil.
Funeral Visitation was at Moss Service Funeral Home in the Chapel on Sunday October 29th. Funeral services were at Fairview Methodist Church on Monday October 30th.
