Karen Lee Pearson of Chester passed peacefully away early April 17, 2008, from the effects of a long illness with family near.

She taught for 20 years ending her career as 2003 Midlothian Middle School's teacher of the year; was the mother of two wonderful children, Brad and Kim; grandmother to two grandsons, Wilson and Alexander; friend and wife to Lance Pearson. She was 65 years old.

She and her husband are long time Chesterfield County residents. She leaves many friends and will be sorely missed by those friends and her family. Kim and her husband, Steve, live in Daytona Beach, Florida. Brad and his wife Laurie and their two sons live in Chesterfield county where he teaches at Robious Middle school. Karen also leaves two devoted sisters, Cheryl Kehl of Darien, Illinois and Kathy Epstein of Tucson, Arizona who were able to visit her within the last week and be enormous support for their sister and Lance.

Karen was one of the few people who have tried and succeeded at being attractive, capable, intelligent and a good person their entire life. She will be missed.
