Vicki Marie Thompson, age 73 of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023.

She was born to Richard and Rita (Burns) Folk on August 19, 1950. She was a graduate of Hicksville High School. In her younger years, she was a homemaker, raising her children. As her children became older, she returned to school at Bowling Green State University and even did a semester in Brazil where she learned to speak Portuguese. She married the late Pete Dutton and moved to Spring, TX. She taught History and English at a Middle School in Houston, TX, for the Aldine Independent School District until the time of her retirement. Later, she moved to Henderson, NV. For the last 7 years, she has been in the Toledo area to be near her family.

Vicki was a member of the VFW Post# 338 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Federation of Teachers.

She enjoyed reading, riding 3-wheel motorcycles (for a short time while in Henderson), watching movies, playing slot machines, board games, was an avid Euchre player, and enjoyed othe card and poker games and crossword puzzles. She really loved to shop! She will forever be remembered as "spring break Grandma" to her two grand-daughters who spent many spring breaks in both Texas and Nevada.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; 2nd husband Pete Dutton; and 3rd husband, Don Thompson, as well as her beloved dog, Tex.

She is survived by her daughter, Jahnine (Phil) Blosser; son, David (Tracy) Rath; grandchildren: Zoe and Maya Blosser, Griffin, Owen, Keaton, Ian and Jaxon Rath; great-grandson, Kingston and sister, Julie Tishhouse.

Family and friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Thursday, November 2nd, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be private.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Orchard Villa, especially Cece, Tina and Tiffany and Continuum Care Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to Mom's House of Toledo. Please view and sign our online "guest registry" at CoyleFuneralHome.com
