Barbara B. Robbins passed away on October 10, 2023, at age 92, surrounded by her loved ones in Fort Worth, Texas.

Barbara was born in El Paso, Texas to Jocelyn Kennedy and Ruth Bowden on October 11, 1930.

Barbara earned her Master's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.

She began her teaching career in El Paso in 1952, teaching first, second, third and fourth grades.

Upon her retirement in 1990, she served as the Coordinator of Special Education for Ector County Independent Schools.

She moved to Kerrville, Texas.

Barbara was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa Iota, Junior Women's Club, P.E.O. and served as president of Tri Delta Alumni.

Barbara enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening and traveling.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, J.K. and Ruth Bowden; her husbands, Robert Louis Chinn and Roy Keith Robbins; sons, Robert David Chinn and Daniel Wade Chinn; and her brother Jocelyn Jean Bowden.

She is survived by her son, Gary Chinn (Norma); daughter, Gena Ruth Yarger; and her grandchildren, Dustin Chinn (Liliana), Lindsay Chinn Young (Robert), Sarah Yarger Nutt (Wayne) and Jonathan Yarger. She was blessed with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Friday, October 27 at 10:00 AM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa, Texas

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Dementia Friendly Fort Worth 750 W. 5th Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102
