Letha Robbins Alsup, age 84, died Monday, November 22, 1999. She was born August 24, 1915 in Nash County, NC, daughter of the late David and Rosa Johnson Robbins. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Alsup was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph David Robbins, Linwood Pierce Robbins and James Thomas Robbins. Surviving are her husband, Wilson Lee Alsup of the home; daughter and son-in-law Pat Joyner Alsup Montgomery and Howard Kent Montgomery of Wilson, NC; grandsons and wives, Keith and Susan Barnes, Scott and Renee Barnes, and Patrick and Tammy Barnes of Wilson; great grandchildren, Paxton Barnes, Kenan Barnes, Anna Barnes and Patrick Barnes, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Baines of Enfield, NC; brothers, and sister-in-laws Simon and Lily Mae Robbins of Nashville, NC, and Grover and Ruth Robbins of Rocky Mount, NC; sister-in-law Elise and Edith Robbins of Nashville, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Chapel of Nashville with Minister Jerry Neill. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel in Nashville. Letha Was married first to Jefferson Thomas Joyner, father of Pat.
