Wesley T. Hardy was born north of Pea Ridge June 9, 1874, and departed this life June 22, 1934. He was the son of Jacob and Artie Hardy. He married Miss Anna Harris December 3, 1905, to which union six children were born: four sons, Dennis, Alfred, Nelson and Charles; two daughters, Mabel of the home and Mrs. C.H. Dean of Mullinsville, Kansas, all of whom were present. There are also four grandchildren as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Brother Hardy professed faith in Christ in early manhood at Centerton, Ark. He later united with the Methodist Church at Pea Ridge of which he was a member at the time of his death. His life speaks for itself in the home, church and community.

After a brief illness, during which he suffered considerably, he was rushed to the city hospital at Fayetteville, where eh underwent an operation of appendicitis from he never recovered, although he rallied for a few days.

His passing leaves to mourn his loss his widow and children, two brothers, Mack Hardy of Kansas City, Mo. and Earl Hardy of Los Angeles, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Fayette Harris of Pea Ridge and Mrs. Lizzie Gamble of Ft. Smith.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from the Methodist Church with Rev. Sturdy in charge. Burial in the Pea Ridge cemetery. Pall bearers were Joe Roulnac, Bob Patterson, Lonzo Miller, Kelly Armstrong, Garland Lasater and Hibert Woods.
