Donna Marie Aurand
Nanticoke native was LPN at Berwick Hospital
Donna Marie Aurand of Nanticoke passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, after a courageous battle with glioblasthoma.
Born June 7, 1947, to the late John and Evelyn Ogan Cragle, Donna was a graduate of Newport High School and was employed at Dana Perfumes for many years. She furthered her education to become a nurse, LPN. She dedicated her second career to caring for others working at Berwick Hospital Center until it closed, then Lehigh Valley Health Network, Hazleton, and Visiting Angels until her diagnosis in March 2023.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jan; and nephew, Corey J. Doliva.
Surviving are her sister, Jane E. Doliva, who cared for Donna throughout her illness; aunts: Cynthia Austin and Kathleen Chapin; and numerous cousins and their families.
At Donna's request, there will be no funeral.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held in November at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to McCune Funeral Services Inc., Mountaintop.
