Phillip James Reeves
Phillip James Reeves (Phil) passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the age of 75.
He was born in Albuquerque to Art and Noel Reeves 23 June 1948.
Phil is survived by Beth Reeves, his wife of over 50 years; their daughters; Michelle Reeves (wife Kim), and Heather Reeves.
He also survived by 6 grandchildren: Moe Smith; Xander, Scott, Sebastian, Victoria, and Aubrey Telfer-Reeves. He is survived by his brothers Don Reeves (Janet); David Reeves, and Martin Reeves (Tracy); and sister Christine (Dan) Hethcock. He has many beloved cousins and nieces and nephews.
Phil served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He received his Bachelor's of Business at the University of Arizona where he met Beth while they were in the marching band together. After their marriage in 1972, they moved to Albuquerque to operate the Menaul Aquatic Club swimming pool for 7 years. Phil then received his degree in architecture and worked at a firm before moving on to buy Suntec Computer Store and a medical consent publishing business. He also worked as cameraman and floor director for KOB for several years.
Phil was an avid bicycle rider, riding 10,000 miles in one year. He continued to ride 20 to 30 miles daily even after 2 serious bicycle accidents. He also was a skilled small craft sailor and instructor. He had a lifetime love of model railroading and was proud of the layout he was working on. Phil was a long-time member of Central Methodist Church and was very active in their tv ministry for many years rarely missing a service. He is remembered for his commitment to the church, his family, his sense of humor, and his love of music. He is much loved and will be missed forever.

Cremation and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park for a family service at grave side.
Celebration of life will be Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church at 201 University Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
