Mr. Liddell moved to Saginaw, MI in 1962 and graduated from Saginaw High School in 1967. He retired from General Motors Grey Iron in 2001 after 34 years of loyal service and was a member of the UAW Local 668. John enjoyed watching football, basketball, westerns and court T.V.

Liddell; one daughter, Kandra Liddell; two sons, John (T'Pring) Liddell, Jr. and Christian Liddell, all of Saginaw, MI; one sister, Walterine (Charles) Eiland, Louisville, MS; three brothers, Raymond (Thedford) Triplet, Riverside, CA, CJ (Catherine) Liddell, Bellwood, IL and William Liddell, Saginaw, MI; six grandchildren, Marteryn and Zhamartae Blackmon, Aeryeon Parker, Janiah, Zariah and Christian Liddell, Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Thomas (Annie) Bryson, Sr.; a special brother and sister-in-law, Elder Thomas (Tina) Bryson, Jr. and Beverly (Willie) Nevitt; special friends, Samual Buckley, James Nevitt and family; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Liddell was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ruthie Holmes, Lizzie Cooper and Shirley Curtis; three brothers, Robert and Bobbie Coleman and Willis Liddell.
Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2008 with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. at Victorious Believers Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 624 S. Outer Dr., Bishop Marvin C. Pryor, host pastor. Elder Thomas Bryson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Ave. on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
