Roma Jean Graff Savage (72) passed away peacefully in her home on October 21, 2023.

She was born on January 2, 1951, in St. George, Utah to Sylvia Stucki and John Leon Graff.

She married Bruce Miles Savage on August 21, 1980, in the St. George LDS Temple, St. George, Utah.

Roma was raised by a loving family in Santa Clara, Utah. She spoke often about the wonderful childhood she had. She loved spending time with her dad, helping him at his fruit stand, and riding in the truck. Roma lived most of her life in Santa Clara and was very passionate about her Swiss Heritage.

Roma graduated from Dixie High School in 1969 and was proud of her Dixie roots. She attended many colleges in the state of Utah including Dixie College, Southern Utah University and Brigham Young University. She made many lifelong friends and was grateful for the experiences and fun times she had.

At Dixie College Roma joined "Program Bureau" with Mrs. D. She loved traveling around and singing the Dixie Songs. She pursued a teaching degree and spent 30 plus years as an elementary education teacher. Roma loved to help her students become passionate readers and touched many of her students' lives.

Roma loved holidays and parties. She was always ready to plan a celebration. Holidays were a special treat at her house and in her classroom. After retirement she spent time traveling the world with her husband Bruce. She loved collecting dolls and Nativities from different parts of the world.

Roma was also a wonderful cook. She was famous around town for her potato salad, caramels and cereal treat. She truly was an original "Pinterest" mom.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a living witness of the pioneer strength. Roma endured many health hardships throughout her life including a Liver Transplant and multiple types of cancer.

She is survived by her daughters; Jamie (Bryce) Wixom of Draper, Utah. Jodie (Jason) Miles of Logan, Utah, Jennie Savage of Santa Clara, Utah, and her grandchildren, Harvest, Jackson, Austin, Camden, Boston and Samantha.

She is also survived by her sisters Donna Stafford of Santa Clara, Utah and Judy Gardner of Heber City, Utah.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Santa Clara Chapel, 3040 Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30 am.

Interment will be held at the Santa Clara City Cemetery, Ancestor Way, Santa Clara, Utah.

Roma will be greatly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, and many friends and loved ones.
