Ted Weems Furrh
OCTOBER 28, 1931 – OCTOBER 22, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Eubank Funeral Home

Ted went home to Lord on October 22, 2023 in Rowlett, Texas. He was born on October 28, 1931 in Wills Point, Texas to James Harvey Furrh and Era Mae Bishop Furrh.

Ted grew up in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School. He was in the Air Force from 1951 to 1954, serving in the Korean War. On April 20, 1957 he married his one true love, Betty Juanita Cockerham. The couple built a beautiful life in Mesquite, Texas and were married 64 wonderful years at Betty's passing.

Ted enjoyed watching his Cowboys and Texas Longhorns play; football season found him settled in his shop watching football. Ted played the bass fiddle and was in a country western band. Everyone in his care facility, where spent the last three years, always enjoyed his singing. Ted's best day would be spent outdoors. (Maybe a trip to Whataburger, too!) Camping and fishing would bring him much joy. Ted was a quiet man who loved the Lord, his family and had a happy full life. He will live on in the hearts and memories of all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Era Furrh; beloved wife, Betty Furrh; sons, Brady Furrh and Timmy Furrh; and several siblings.

Ted is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Tracy and Cary Liebrum; grandchildren, Hayden Liebrum and wife, Melissa, Carlie Liebrum, Justin Furrh, Crystal Rogers; great grandchild, Cooper James Liebrum; sister, Peggy Ingram.

Tracy and family would like to thank Beacon Harbor and staff for their care and kindness to Ted during his final years.
