Mrs. Florence Gallups Bozeman, age 93, of Milner, Georgia passed away on October 8, 2023 at Brightmoor Hospice. Mrs. Bozeman passed away a few hours prior to her husband of 75 years, Stanley Bozeman, Sr. She was born in Cordova, Alabama on January 25, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Pauline Gallups; brother, John Gallups; sister, Marsha Hipps; daughter, Lisa Bozeman Bush.
Mrs. Bozeman worked along side her son at the Western Sizzlin Steak House for 25 years before she retired. She made many lasting friendships with the employees over the years, especially Mildred Jones. Mildred is like family and her companionship has been a big part of Mrs. Bozeman's life for over 40 years, right up to her final days. The family is so grateful for Mildred's love and commitment to Florence (Mrs. B as she was affectionately called by Mildred and the other employees). Mrs. Bozeman was a long time member of Griffin First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bozeman is survived by her son, Stanley Bozeman, Jr. (Julianne); grandchildren, Wyndell (Wyn) Bush, Jr. (Kalie), Joy Bush Whitaker (Wayne), Ashlyn Bozeman Carter (Bryce); great grandchildren; Mobley Clare Bush, Mila Bush, Olivia Whitaker, Maverick Whitaker, Brooklyn Carter; several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside funeral service for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia or to Griffin First United Methodist Church.
