Martha Jane Taylor age 63 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her home.

She was born June 13, 1960 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Robert Whitehead and Dessie (Clark) Whitehead. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Tilmon Whitehead and Larry Whitehead; sisters, Linda Whitehead and Madalene Whitehead; and sisters-in-law, Kim Whitehead and Della Whitehead.

Surviving family include her daughters, Tabitha Bryant (and Leon) of Somerset and Hannah Richardson (and Bobby) of Whitley City; sons, Bradley Taylor (and Jami) of Pine Knot, Terry Lee Taylor (and Christal) of Bronston, and Jason Taylor (and Chris) of Somerset; grandchildren, Miranda Watters (and Cody), Kristen Wesley (and Lucas), Nathaniel Taylor, Isaiah Taylor, Terra Gaertner, Danielle Taylor, Mylie Bell, Lexie Baker (and Matt), Autumn Spradlin, Avery Spradlin, Aliyah Richardson, Alice Richardson, Tyson Richardson, Brittany Taylor, Tristen Taylor, and Peyton Taylor; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lillian, Noah, Anna Jane, Beau, Aiden, Carter, Ava, Hunter, Rylee, Owen, and Taiden; and Martha's fiancé, Jim Canada.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Leamon Whitehead (and Patty) of Minerva, Ohio, Lee Whitehead (and Valerie) of Stearns, Glen Whitehead (and Jean), of Madison, Indiana, Gale Whitehead (and Wanda) of Somerset, James Whitehead of Pine Knot, Warren Whitehead (and Kathy) of Hotsprings, Arkansas, Margie Whitehead of Whitley City, Kimberly Whitehead of Oneida, and Brenda (and Jim) of Muncie, Indiana; and a special friend, Sheila Gregory.

Martha was a homemaker at heart who loved to spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of others. She loved get together, family dinners, and baking. Martha was famous for her "Coal Miner's Cake". She also enjoyed thrifting and always had a green thumb. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Malachi Barnett, Bro. Leamon Whitehead, and Bro. Randall Whitehead officiating. Burial is to follow in the Sammy New Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
