Donald Wayne Hagler, age 78, passed away at his home Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; children, Donnie (Kristy) Hagler of Marshville, NC, Chris (Corinne) Hagler of Monroe, NC, and Tina (Jason) Royal of Roseboro, NC; 9 grandchildren, Michael (Lauren) Hagler, Taylor (Mia) Hagler, Rebecca Hagler, Mason, Coleston, and Cheyenne Langston, Lee Byrd, Nanette Hagler, and Dylan Knowles.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 5709 Philadelphia Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Philadelphia Baptist Church Building Fund or to Hospice of Union County.

Donnie, as his childhood friends and classmates knew him, grew up in Charlotte, N. C. He attended Wilmore Elementary School, the original Alexander Graham Junior High on East Morehead the last year (1957-1958) before it was torn down to build a YMCA on the site, Herbert Spaugh Junior High, and graduated from Harry P. Harding Senior High School Class of 1963 in the 2nd class to graduate from the 'new Harding' on Alleghany Road in Charlotte, N. C.
