Glenda Lurlene "Bookie" Redbird
Bookie, 69, of Anadarko, OK, passed away October 20, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born April 1, 1954 to Ernest Redbird Sr. and Ruth (Whitefox) Redbird in Lawton, OK.

Bookie graduated from Carnegie High School in Carnegie, OK and attended Haskell Nation Junior College, now Haskell Indian Nations University, in Lawrence, KS. Glenda was a proud full-blooded member of the Kiowa Tribe and was known for her Kiowa singing with her folks. She backed up many Head Singers at various pow-wows and ceremonies. Bookie was known for her sense of humor and wit, or "Kiowa Terrorizing". She also loved her OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys.

Bookie had many various jobs, but when she became the Kiowa Tribe's Gift Shop Manager, she began her service to the Kiowa Tribe. She retired after over 15 years of service and spent the rest of her life being amongst her family, especially being the "partner" to her big sister Karen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Redbird Sr. and Ruth (Whitefox) Redbird, sisters, Rozella "Roe" Parton and Avonna Redbird, and brothers, William "Chow Boy" Redbird and Herbert Redbird.

Brothers: Ernest Redbird, and wife, Gloria, Carnegie, OK
