Robert T. Blake, a devoted father, beloved husband, and cherished papa, peacefully passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on November 22, 1945, in Canton, OH, to the late Robert M. and Nellie Blake (Dunn).

Robert was a dedicated employee, working as a Machine Shop Repairman in the steel industry for Timken. He proudly served in the US Army and was a valued veteran.

In 2017, Robert experienced the loss of his beloved wife, Peggy, who had been his partner in life for an incredible 51 years. Together, they shared countless memories and established a strong foundation of love and support for their family.

Robert found solace in his faith and was an active member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. He believed strongly in the principles of the church and generously donated to further its mission.

Outside of work and church, Robert enjoyed spending time on the golf course, honing his skills on the greens. He relished the opportunity to connect with friends and engage in friendly competition.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Peggy; brother Timothy Blake; mother-in-law Lilly Phillips; father-in-law William Phillips; and brothers-in-law Douglas Reed, David Phillips, and Robert Kemp. He is survived by his son Robert Blake (Gail); daughters Karen Detrow (Mike) and Krystal Dean (Jason); grandchildren Bryce Blake, Kensington Blake, and Christian Dean; sisters-in-law Charlotte Kemp, Chantelle Blake, and Carol Phillips; brother-in-law William Phillips; and numerous nieces, nephews, and granddogs.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Robert T. Blake will be held at 1:30 pm on October 13, 2023, at the Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon, OH with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating.
